WELCOME TO SWARAGINI – A School of Music

Swaragini, a school of music was established in the year 2020 by Ipsita Duarah Saikia. It is an institution where different aspects of Hindustani Classical Music are being taught as per the syllabus of Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow. Apart from Hindustani Classical Music, Swaragini also offers training in Borgeet, Lokageet, Jyoti Sangit, Bishnu Rabha Sangit, Bhupendra Sangit and modern assamese songs.

Swaragini is created with the dream of shaping musical stories out of the unexplored fragments of music deeply embedded in the heart of individuals.

The aim is to provide basic knowledge of music in general and Hindustani Classical Music in particular

Ipsita Duarah Saikia – The Founder

Sangit Nipun from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow.
Master in Performing Arts (Music) from Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva Vishwavidyalaya, Nagaon (Guwahati Campus).
Works as a vocal instructor at Sur Sangam, School of Dance and Music.
Works as vocal instructor in various workshops including Jyoti Sangeet, Bishnu Rabha Geet, Bhupendra Sangeet etc.
Winner of various state level music competitions and best singer of Cotton College (2003-2004).
Approved singer of All India Radio in Sugam Sangeet.
Masters in Political Science (Gauhati University).
Has worked as vocal instructor in Sur Sangam since 2008 (15+ years of teaching experience).
Lecturer in Political Science at Abhigyanam College, Noon mati, Guwahati.
